Inpatient and Outpatient ECT
Available to adults, ages 18 and older, The BridgeWay offers Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) as a form of treatment for major depression as well as other issues. ECT has been found to decrease and relieve depression among adults. In fact, ECT, can be life saving and produce dramatic results. It is particularly useful among people suffering from depression, acute mania, those who cannot take anti-depressants due to health problems or lack of response, pregnant women suffering from depression or mania, and some suicidal patients who cannot wait for antidepressants to take effect. ECT is provided on an inpatient or outpatient basis under the close supervision of an experienced physician.
