Inpatient Services for Children

The youth of today are struggling with problems that are unique to their generation. If not addressed, these problems can have lasting effects upon families and other relationships. While some of these problems may be treated through outpatient services, others may require inpatient treatment. Set within safe and structured environments, The BridgeWay offers outpatient, transitional, partial hospitalization, and acute inpatient services to children who may be faced with one or more of the following issues:

  • Depression/Mood Disorders
  • Physical/Sexual abuse
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Drug/alcohol abuse
  • Eating Disorders
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Suicidal behaviors
  • Homicidal behaviors
  • Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Conduct Disorder
  • Oppositional/Defiant Disorder
  • Inappropriate/disruptive behaviors
  • Emotional difficulties
  • Anxiety Disorders
  • Depending upon the needs of the child or adolescent, services may include the following:

  • Group and family therapy
  • Individualized therapy
  • Medication evaluation and case management
  • Special education certified by the Pulaski County Special School District
  • Process and topic groups
  • Recreational therapy
  • Our inpatient program serves children, ages 4 through 12, who are going through an acute crisis. This program features a specialized, short-term environment. The goal of the program is to stabilize the child’s behavior while involving the family so that they may grow and rejoin their family or caregivers.
