Morning and Evening Programs
The Intensive Outpatient Program (I.O.P) for
Addictive Diseases at The BridgeWay Hospital provides adults with
substance abuse problems an intensive educational and therapeutic
alternative to treating their chemical dependency and related problems.
The outpatient setting minimizes disruption of work and family
routines. While supporting
the client’s needs for comprehensive treatment in an efficient and
cost-effective manner, outpatient care deals with real day-to-day living
problems often associated with addictive disease and substance abuse.
Two program options are available:
Morning I.O.P. and Evening I.O.P.
Morning I.O.P. Program Hours

The Evening I.O.P. is a 12 week program in which

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The I.O.P. includes an Educational Therapy component
that assists clients and family members in developing a thorough
understanding of the nature of their illness and their responsibility in
the process of recovery through a variety of topics including medical
lectures. The Group Therapy
component of the program utilizes the group process to develop open and
direct communication skills, to give and receive support and direction,
and to practice new drug or alcohol-free coping and living skills.
Family involvement is very important and consists of
Multi-Family Group two days a week for both
programs:
Family members are encouraged to attend
Family Group for the entire 12 weeks the client is in I.O.P.
Involvement in community 12 Step Meetings
(A.A., N.A.,
C.A.) is considered an important part of recovery.
Staff will assist the client in integrating into the self-help
group that is most appropriate for them.
The Abstinence Assurance component of the program
includes random drug screens and abstinence agreements.
